OVERVIEWA. The intent of this Solicitation and resulting Contract is to obtain professional andcomprehensive construction phase administrative services for the Dr. CharleneMickens Dukes Student Center at the Prince George’s Community College (“PGCC”or “College”).B. The Contractor shall have significant expertise in the areas necessary to meet the needsand requirements set forth in this Request for Proposal (RFP), including withoutlimitation, the ability to provide construction management services, serving as theCollege’s agent/owner’s representative to meet the needs of the College.C. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, equipment, andtransportation necessary for construction management services to ensure they areprovided in accordance with this Solicitation and the State of Maryland minimumstandards.D. The College anticipates having a contract awarded around April 2026 for which Boardapproval will be required.2. PGCC BACKGROUNDA. Established in 1958, Prince George Community College is an award winning fullyaccredited public two-year institution offering credit programs leading to an associatedegree, certificate, or letter of recognition. With a student body of approximately38,000, the College prepares its students for transfer to a four-year institution or for animmediate career. The students are provided with high quality and affordableeducation, cutting-edge workforce and development training and the opportunity toachieve their dreams and aspirations.B. PGCC also offers extensive lifelong learning opportunities and noncredit, continuingeducation to those seeking career training or retraining, working to boost basic skills orpursuing new areas of interest.
