SummaryMiami County is seeking bids for contracted work on the two projects listed below. While these two projects are being bid together, they will have separate contracts and be treated as such.
Project 21-08-ST (683) 287th Street Reconstruction to include the following work: Reconstruction of 287th Street from the intersection of Osawatomie Road east along 287th Street to the edge of the wearing surface for the bridge, and reconstruction of Osawatomie Road north and south of the intersection.
The contract time is set for 90 calendar days.
Project 26-01-CO (670) 2026 Asphalt Corrective Maintenance Program to include mill and overlays at the following locations: 287th Street from Hedge Lane west to Pressonville Road; Pressonville Road from 287th Street north to K-68 Hwy; Osawatomie Road from 287th Street north to K-68 Hwy; Hedge Lane Road from 287th Street north to K-68 Hwy.
The bid will also consist of two bid alternates:
Bid alternate 1: Mill and overlay with full-depth patch on Lone Star Road from 303rd Street north to K-68 Hwy
Bid alternate 2: Mill and overlay with full-depth patch at the following locations: Harmony Road from 255th Street north to Tontzville Road; Tontzville Road northwest to Lone Star Road; Reestablish appropriate road approaches to the bridge over Hillsdale Lake located on Tontzville Road.
The contract time is set for 120 working days.
BackgroundMiami County is a local government organized on April 2, 1857, located in the east-central part of Kansas along the state line and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. In addition to the traditional governmental operations of public health and safety, codes, regulations, and tax collection, Miami County operates one (1) airport, health and developmental support centers, a community corrections program, and a wastewater system (Bucyrus).
