Petition 1349 Bixel Two Stage Ditch

The following legal notice is for the construction of two stage ditch located near Swaney Rd north

of I-75, in Section 21 of Richland Township, Allen County Ohio. The total project length

encompasses approximately 4,075 LF of Open Ditch. Work items include but are not limited to;

35,495 CY of Excavation and Leveling; 50 CY of Rock Channel Protection, 34,700 SY of Ditch

Bank Seeding; Clearing and Grubbing; Tree Removal of various sizes; other work items as noted

in the plans and bid documents. This project is funded by a grant from Ohio Department of

Agriculture H2Ohio program and is Prevailing Wage.

the contract documents at no cost prior to becoming a Planholder. Input the QuestCDN project

number 10137314 on the website’s projects search page to download the digital documents for a

fee of $42.00. Contact QuestCDN Customer Support at 952-233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for

assistance in membership registration, downloading digital project information and vBid online

bid submittal questions. Project bid documents must be downloaded from QuestCDN which will

add your company to the Planholder List and allow access to vBid online bidding for the submittal

of your bid. Interested contractors may also request paper project documents from the Allen

County Engineers office for a fee of $42.00. Paper or electronic bids may be submitted.

Bids will be received by the Clerk of the Board of Allen County Commissioners and will be opened

by the clerk of said County, on Thursday April 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., at the office of the Board

of Allen County Commissioners, 204 N. Main St, Lima, Ohio 45801.

Said bids shall be accompanied with a bid bond or certified check on a solvent bank in the amount

of ten percent (10%) of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will sign the

contract for the performance of the work, and for furnishing the material bid upon, and will furnish

such bond to the Board of Allen County Commissioners for the performance of the contract signed

as may be required by law. Bidder is responsible for all fees associated for submitting a bid on the

project.
