ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS2026 PAVEMENT AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTCITY PROJECT NO. 2026-PW-16Sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Sedro-Woolley Public WorksDepartment, 325 Metcalf Street, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, 98284 until 2:00 p.m., April28, 2026, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.This contract provides for a 2-inch HMA overlay on Bingham Place from State Street tothe cul-de-sac at the end of Bingham Place (approximately 850 ft). Overlay work willinclude planing on Bingham Place. Other work elements include traffic control, full-depthpavement repairs, adjusting existing structures, and installing a plastic stop bar. Thecontract also provides for full-depth removal and replacement of cement concretepavement panels on Talcott Street from 7th Street to Township Street. Other workelements include traffic control, roadway excavation, installation of gravel borrow andcrushed surfacing top-course. The project also includes a full-depth pavement removalin the alley north of 720 Murdock Street, between Metcalf Street and Murdock Street.Other work elements include regrading the alley, removing and installing catch basins,connecting existing storm sewer pipe to the new catch basins, installing 3-inches of HMA,replacing an existing sign post, and adjusting existing structures to finished grade. Theproject also includes removing crushed gravel and installing 2-inches of HMA at RiverfrontPark and the adjacent dog park. Other work elements include traffic control, temporarypavement marking, and adjusting existing structures.This project is subject to all applicable Prevailing Wage statues and regulations.The Bid Documents and addenda are available on-line at www.sedro-woolley.gov/resources/bids_and_awards/index.php. Contractors who download theseBid Documents are responsible for insuring that they are added to the plan holder’s list inorder to receive any issued addenda. Questions regarding this project maybe directed to the Capital Projects & Construction Manager at kanderson@sedro-woolley.gov.All work shall be done in accordance with the Special Provisions of the Bid Documents,the 2026 WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction,including the amendments thereto, City Standards and other referenced documents.All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certifiedcheck, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) ofthe amount of such bid proposal.
