Description: Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for General Construction of the Historic Schoolhouse Renovation, Phase 2 will be received by the City of Gautier, Mississippi until 11:00 AM on September 17, 2026, and said bids are to be opened and read aloud in the City Council’s Meeting Room located in the Gautier City Hall, 3330 Highway 90, Gautier, MS  39553. Scope of work.  Phase 2 will weatherproof the exterior structure, secure all entrances, and give the exterior a fresh coat of paint. This work scope will include selective demolition, the replacement of all doors and windows (plywood currently covers the windows and some doors to prevent rain damage and any unauthorized access). This phase will also make necessary repairs to the exterior structure so that the lead paint can be remediated and the exterior structure painted. This will help show the community that progress is being made on the schoolhouse and that additional phases are forthcoming.
