Sealed bids are to be marked: “Laderman Park Playground Installation, RFP No. PW 2026-01” and must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office on or before 10:00 AM on March 5 th , 2026, at which time bids received will be opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Bid packets may be picked up at the Public Works Office, 512 W. Main St, or may be found at www.belleville.net .

Belleville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities and further reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Pre-registration to bid is required with Jason Poole at jpoole@belleville.net.Labor to remove existing play structures and surfacing, installation of new City provided playground equipment and approximately 200 CY of wood fiber surfacing (City provided). All posts are to be set in concrete. New playground to be installed in existing place of current playground. Final placement to be determined by City staff. Business Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Qualifications: The Contractor shall be required to submit evidence of an adequate performance bond prior to the awarding of any contract. The performance bond shall be for 100% of the contract bid amount. The Contractor shall purchase and maintain such insurance as will protect themselves and the City against any and all claims and demands as may arise from the operation of the work or the execution of the Contract. In addition to Workman’s Compensation Insurance, all bidders must submit evidence of insurance in amounts no less than $1,000,000 Bodily Injury Liability Insurance and $1,000,000 Property Damage Liability Insurance. Certificates of Insurance shall be submitted with the bid.
Any and all firms and/or persons entering into a contract agreement with the City of Belleville shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable local, State, and Federal requirements, in particular non-discriminatory equal employment opportunity and affirmative action on public contracts. Any and all contract agreements shall be in conformance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq), Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/0.01), and the City of Belleville’s Project Labor Agreement.
The Belleville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities and further reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities.
