Notes	The City of Ames is accepting bids from qualified vendors to establish contract pricing per ton for the purchase of Sulfuric Acid for the Electric Services Department.  The contract period will be from May 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026.  Pricing will remain fixed throughout the contract period. Each shipment of sulfuric acid will be one (1) truckload of approximately 25 tons, 66 degrees BE.  The City anticipates 5-6 shipments for the 6 month period. This is an estimated quantity only and the City does not guarantee the purchase of any specific, minimum, or maximum quantity .  Deliveries will be made by the vendor as requested by the City to the Power Plant at 200 E. 5th St., Ames, IA 50010. All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
