IFB No. 26-071 | Bus Stop Improvements Group M
In accordance with the N.C.G.S. § 143-129, through this Invitation for Bid (IFB), GoTriangle seeks to contract with a qualified firm capable of delivering high-quality, cost-effective construction services that support GoTriangle’s mission to provide safe, reliable, and equitable public transportation throughout the region.
The scope of this project includes site amenity and improvements to bus stops Group M located within the Durham City Limits listed within the Scope of Work. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, tools, equipment, machinery, and materials necessary to complete the work in full compliance with the contract terms. The work shall consist of clearing, grading, concrete pads and sidewalks, installing amenities, traffic control, and other related items.Procurement Files

The agency provides essential mobility services through fixed-route bus service,paratransit, and other commuter programs. MOBILIZATION/TRAVEL TIMEMobilization/Travel Time payment will be made by Lump Sum and is to include all mobilization ofthe contractor’s equipment and personnel to perform the work required under this contract.2. DEMOLITIONDemolition will be completed in accordance with Section 200 of the latest version of the NCDOTStandard Specifications for Roads and Structures. Removal of existing benches, curb and gutter,sidewalk, asphalt pavement, pipes, trimming of trees, trees and bushes within the constructionlimits, amenities are included in this work. Removal of additional concrete curbs, sidewalks, orother structures to the nearest joint when within two feet of joint will be considered incidental toDemolition and no additional payment shall be made unless otherwise noted and approved by theEngineer.The hauling, transport, and delivery of amenities or other items to be returned to the Owner’sfacilities is considered incidental to Demolition.Perform clearing on this project to the limits established by “Method of Clearing - Method II" shownon Standard No. 200.02 of the NCDOT 2024 Roadway Standard Drawings.Demolition payment will be made by lump sum and is to include all labor, materials,transportation, and incidentals required to suitably remove and properly haul all salvagedmaterials or to properly dispose of as noted on the plans.The Contractor shall be required to maintain mailboxes, signs, and all miscellaneousappurtenances impacted by the construction activities in working order for the duration ofconstruction and as directed by the Engineer. Work on the same items shall be done in a timelymanner. No separate payment for work on these items will be made as the work will beconsidered incidental to other items in the contract unless otherwise noted in the contractdocuments, including final relocation of mailboxes, signs, and other miscellaneousappurtenances.3. EARTHWORKThe work covered by this section consists of the excavation, placement, and compaction orsatisfactory disposal of all materials encountered within the limits of the work necessary for thePage 5 of 87
