Rolling Meadows is situated adjacent to the Taylor's Pond Subdivisionon the western side The detention area located in Cottages at Taylor’s Pond subdivision drains into theRolling Meadows subdivision. The stormwater infrastructure at Rolling Meadows is not adequate to handlethe stormwater and surface runoff, resulting in flooding.SCOPE OF THE PROJECTThe project generally consists of the removal of the existing detention pond outlet structure andassociated drainage features, and the construction of a new reinforced concrete stormwater outletsystem, including installation of storm drainage pipes. Work also includes excavation, backfill, channelmodifications, and all necessary measures to ensure a watertight and fully functional drainage system. Seeattached construction plans and specifications to provide the quotes.Additional scope includes surface restoration (concrete, landscaping, fencing, and site features),implementation of erosion and sediment controls, traffic control and public safety measures, dewateringas required, and all associated mobilization, construction staking, and incidental work necessary tocomplete the project.A pre-quote site visit is strongly recommended. All construction and materials shall be in accordance with the 2019 Oklahoma department oftransportation standard specifications for highway construction and the current city of Glenpoolengineering services department's standard specifications and standard details and standard drawingsand city of Glenpool special provisions.2. The contractor shall comply with all federal, state and local laws governing safety, health andsanitation. The contractor shall provide all safeguards, safety devices and protective equipment, andtake any other needed action on as his own responsibility or as the city of Glenpool may determinereasonably necessary to protect property in connection with the performance of work covered by thecontract.3. Pay items shall be as specified on the city of Glenpool or on the ODOT standard drawings except asmodified by the contract.4. The contractor shall determine the exact location of all existing utilities before commencing work ineach area. The contractor is fully responsible for any and all damages which might result from hisfailure to locate and preserve any and all utilities.5. The locations of the utilities are shown according to all available information. the contractor shallnotify each utility owner prior to commencement of work to verify both horizontal and verticallocations. The contractor shall work in cooperation with the city of Glenpool to establish, install, maintain, andoperate complete, adequate, and safe traffic controls during the entire construction period. allflagmen, barricades, and traffic control devices shall be approved by the streets and stormwaterrepresentative.8. Construction signage will be installed in a manner approved by the city of Glenpool, in accordancewith chapter vi of the manual on uniform traffic control devices, current addition, and applicableODOT standard drawings. the contractor shall provide a proposed traffic control plan for approval bythe city of Glenpool prior to beginning work.9. The contractor shall notify the city of Glenpool a minimum of 48 hours prior to commencing work orprior to removing traffic signs. all signs shall be handled in a manner so as not to damage the signand/or post. all traffic signs removed due to construction shall be reinstalled by the city/contractor.10. The contractor shall be responsible for removing all permanent road signs affected by theconstruction operations, in addition, he shall deliver them to the city of Glenpool. private signslocated within the limits of the right-of-way shall be removed by their respective owners.11. Local and through traffic shall be maintained through the project at all times.12. All public and private streets and drives shall be accessible at all times.13. All broken concrete, waste material, and other debris shall become the property of the contractor andshall be removed from the limits of the project and disposed of in a manner approved by the city ofGlenpool. No additional payment will be made for the disposal of this material.14. All excavated material not required in the project shall become the property of the contractor andshall be disposed of by the contractor in a manner acceptable to the project manager without cost tothe city of Glenpool. the contractor will be required to obtain an earth change permit if any material isstored on the project site and/or disposed of within the city limits.15. All trees, brush and other debris that might interfere with the flow of water is to be cleaned out to theright-of-way line in a manner approved by the city of Glenpool. all cost to be included in the price bidfor other items of work. trees outside the fill slopes and the top of cut slopes shall not be disturbedexcept with the written approval of the city of Glenpool.16. Where materials are transported in the prosecution of work, vehicles shall not be loaded beyond thecapacity recommended by the vehicle manufacturer or as prescribed by any federal, state or locallawor regulation.17. Any damage to the roadway pavement, curb, driveways or sidewalk caused by the contractor'soperation shall be repaired to the city of Glenpool’s satisfaction and shall be accomplished at thecontractor's sole expense.12205 S.
