00 11 33NOTICE TO BIDDERSNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the SAN LORENZO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (“District”) will receivebids up to, but not later than 01:00 p.m. on February 20, 2026, sealed bids for the award of a contractfor:BID NO. 21-07QCONCRETE WORK AT THE QUAD AREA OF ARROYO HIGHSCHOOLBids shall be received at the San Lorenzo Unified School District- Construction Office at 15510 UsherSt., San Lorenzo, CA 94580, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above state timeand place. Responses must be sealed and clearly marked “CONCRETE WORK AT THE QUAD AREAOF ARROYO HIGH SCHOOL, BID NO. 21-07Q.” Facsimile or electronic copies of the bid will not beaccepted. Bids received after the above-specified time may be rejected.The Project consists of, but not limited to: Replacement of existing lunch quad paving with new 6” concrete andrebar at 12” O.C.E.W. over compacted existing subgrade, along with replacement of the domestic water supplyline and the repair/replacement of broken and older sewer lines at Quad area.There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at Arroyo High School- 15701 Lorenzo Ave., SanLorenzo, CA 94580 (meet in front of flag pole on Grant Ave.), on February 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. for thepurpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. Failure toattend this mandatory pre-bid conference may disqualify the non-attending bidder from the bid.Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice and all other documents comprising thecontract documents. All interested parties may obtain additional information by contacting theDirector of Facilities and Construction -Behrooz Danish bdanish@slzusd.org.All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for aperiod of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder shallfile a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business in the State ofCalifornia approved by the District. A performance bond will also be required.This Project is a public works project and is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. The Directorof Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality inwhich this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract thatwill be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are available to the public on the internet athttp://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/ or from the District Purchasing Department, upon request.The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions,which include, but are not limited to, the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to allworkers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hoursof labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors.Each Bidder submitting a bid must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractorpursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (“DIR Registered Contractor”), unless an exception expresslyprovided in the Labor Code applies. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcementby the DIR. If awarded the Contract, at all times during performance of the work, the Bidder and allSubcontractors of any tier shall be DIR Registered Contractors and continue to comply with all DIRrequirements.This Contract is subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6.Disabled Veteran Contractors are encouraged to submit bids. This bid is subject to Disabled VeteranBusiness Enterprise requirements.Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shallbe licensed in the following classifications: A License. No bid will be accepted from a contractor whohas not been licensed in accordance with the California Business and Profession Code at the time thebid is submitted.The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of abid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding process.Date: January 23, 2026Publication Dates: January 23, 2026 and January 30, 2026
