Description The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) owner and operator of the NFTA-Metro, invites interested Consultants to submit a technical proposal that have the requisite, demonstrable competence and experience in engineering services for the design, construction monitoring, and design support services during construction for the planned “Fastener & Pad Replacement Phase 13” project.

The design services scope of work consists of preparing construction bid documents for the removal and replacement of deteriorated direct fixation fasteners (DFFs), worn rail segments, and damaged Type TM floating slab panels within a specific section of the NFTA-Metro Rail tunnel system. This project is part of NFTA’s multi-phase rail infrastructure modernization program and is funded in part by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

Buy Bid Docs at The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Proposals are preferred in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention:
NFTA Proj. No._company name_##_of_##.pdf
For example: If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB. The file name for the first file would look like the following example:

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goals for this contract is 17%
