Description

TOWN OF BARRINGTON, RHODE ISLAND Request for Bids The Town of Barrington is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, with the option of auditing its financial statements for each of the two subsequent fiscal years. Continuation beyond the initial fiscal year of the contract will be at the discretion of the Town. These audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the standards for financial audits set forth in the Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. For an electronic copy of the plans, bid form, specifications, and addenda, go to https://www.barrington.ri.gov/Bids.aspx Sealed competitive bids will be received by the Finance Department 238 County Road Barrington, Rhode Island 02806 for "ANNUAL FINANCIAL AUDIT " until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 22, 2026, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Bids are to be placed in sealed envelopes and clearly marked “ANNUAL FINANCAIL AUDIT addressed to: Finance Department Town of Barrington 283 County Road Barrington, Rhode Island 02806 The Town of Barrington reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid most acceptable to the Town of Barrington.
