ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSTOWNSHIP OF MAHWAHBERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEYSealed bids will be received by the Township of Mahwah Administrative Offices, MunicipalBuilding, 475 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, NJ 07430 in the County of Bergen and State of NewJersey, Main Level, in the Honorable Judge Anthony J. Gianni, Jr. Chambers on April 8, 2026at 11:30 a.m. prevailing time, and then publicly opened and read aloud forFARDALE AVE CULVERT REPLACEMENTTOWNSHIP OF MAHWAHBERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEYBID # MTB – 25 – 06BASE BID:• In general, Work consists of the construction of the approximately 35 feet of 20-foot by7-foot precast concrete culvert and wing walls, 928-feet of milling and resurfacing alongFardale Ave, curb replacement, approximately 150-feet of 12” water main, a new firehydrant, two 50-foot casing pipes under the culvert, and other related incidental workas shown on the Contract Drawings and described in the Contract Specifications.The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by within 160 calendar daysfrom the date of execution of the Contract.Bid documents and specifications are available for no charge commencing March 11, 2026,and will be on file for public inspection at the office of the Business Administrator, at the aboveaddress, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excludinglegal holidays. Bid documents can be obtained by emailing your request tojbecker@mahwahtwp.org. Include company name, company address, phone #, fax #, contactperson name and email address.Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings andSpecifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance formand must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, orBid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00.Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guaranteethat in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shallbe duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnishand deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent ofthe accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract.Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required bythe Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will beforfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in thecase of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporationis authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C.17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations andpartnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partnersand stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name andaddress of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the FARDALE AVE CULVERTREPLACEMENT (BID # MTB – 25 – 06).Please reference the NJ Selective Assistance Vendor Information database formonthly/quarterly updated lists which identifies certified registered businesses as M/W/BE at:state.nj.us/njbusiness/contracting/services/njsavi and DBE with the NJ Small BusinessAdministration at: njucp.net.The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates asdetermined by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Federal Department of Labor (Davis-Bacon Act).All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period ofsixty (60) days.The Township reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10 or other applicable law, to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bidsreceived and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1,et seq.TOWNSHIP OF MAHWAHJoanne Becker, QPATownship of Mahwah
