Project Description: The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) will receive bids for Concourse A Apron Reconstruction - Bid Package 2. The pavement surrounding Concourse A has reached the end of its service life. The pavement has become a maintenance burden and has caused operation challenges, such as emergency shutdowns for repairs. In 2025, we reconstructed Bid Package 1 of the Concourse A Apron Reconstruction program. This area included Taxilane R, Ramp Taxilanes 2N, 2C & 2S, Taxiway S and Gates A19 and A21. Bid Package 2 includes the remainder of the pavement surrounding Concourse A and is broken into (4) construction seasons. Also included is the reconstruction of the Delta Hangar ramp, which is of similar age to the pavement surrounding Concourse A.
