Call for Artists: 2026 & 2027 Art in City Hall ProgramSubmission Deadline: Sunday, March 22, 2026 by 5pm PSTLocation: Pasco City HallContact: Angela Pashon, Assistant City Manager, pashona@pasco-wa.govOpportunityThe City of Pasco invites local artists to submit their proposed pieces for the Art inCity Hall Program, an initiative aimed at showcasing the talent and diversity of ourcommunity's artists in Pasco’s City Hall. This program provides a unique opportunity todisplay local art, enhance the visual appeal of City Hall, and create a welcoming spacefor residents and visitors.Program Goals1. Showcase local talent: Offer local artists the chance to exhibit their work in apublic, high-visibility space.2. Beautify City Hall: Enrich the atmosphere of Pasco City Hall with dynamic andengaging artwork.3. Celebrate community identity: Display artworks that reflect the culturaldiversity and heritage of Pasco.Who Can ApplyWe invite local artists of all backgrounds and experience levels to submit proposedpieces of their work for consideration. Artists who are selected will work with the Arts &Culture Commission to curate the final selection of artworks for exhibition. All visual artsare welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, and digital media.Submission Guidelines1. Eligibility: Artists must reside in Franklin, Benton, or Walla Walla county and beat least 13-years of age.2. Proposed Pieces: Artists must submit pictures of the pieces they are proposingto be displayed; physical pieces will not be accepted.3. Mediums Accepted: All visual arts are welcome, including painting, sculpture,photography, textiles, and digital media.4. Final Curation: Artists selected for the program will collaborate with the Arts &Culture Commission to determine the specific works that will be displayed at CityHall.5. Installation/Display/Removal: Selected artists will be required to be onsite forinstallment and removal. All pieces must be ready for display (i.e., framed ormounted, as needed) with cards displaying name of piece.6. Sale of Art Prohibited: Artwork is for display purposes only, no value/cost is tobe displayed.7. Because of the public nature, artwork may not contain advertising, religious art,sexual content, violent or other content unsuitable for all ages and cannot conveypolitical partisanship.How to ApplyPlease submit the following materials via email by Sunday, March 22, 2026, by 5pmPST:1. Virtual Piece Submission: Artists must submit proposed pieces to beconsidered by the Arts and Culture Commission; physical pieces will not beaccepted. Include title, medium, and year of creation for each piece.2. Artist Statement (1 page): A brief bio and description of your artistic practice,including how your work connects to the goals of the Art in City Hall Program.3. Contact Information: Name, phone number, email address, and website (ifapplicable).Selection ProcessPortfolios are tentatively scheduled to be reviewed by the City of Pasco Arts & CultureCommission at the March 24, 2026, meeting; attendance by artists is not required butartists are welcome to attend in-person or virtually. Artists will be selected based on thequality and diversity of their submission. After selection, artists will collaborate with theCommission to curate a final exhibition of their works for display at Pasco City Hall. TheArts and Culture Commission will select six artists to display and four alternates.Exhibition DetailsSelected artworks will be displayed at Pasco City Hall for a three-month periodbeginning in Spring 2026.
