Project Description

The St. Louis County Port Authority (the “Port”) seeks proposals from qualified graphic designers, design firms, or creative firms to develop a new logo and accompanying brand guide (the “Services”). The selected contractor will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders, including staff for the Port, the Board of Commissioners, and consultants, to ensure the final product reflects the organization’s identity, values, and future vision.

The Port is a political subdivision of the state of Missouri established under Chapter 68 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri and Chapter 816 of St. Louis County Revised Ordinances and is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners. Its primary focus is on promoting economic development in St. Louis County.

The Port seeks an updated, impactful logo that accurately represents its brand and celebrates the community it serves. The final design should be versatile to be used effectively across all media for marketing purposes, including print, website, and social media. The Services will also include the development of a brand guide to ensure consistency in how the logo, colors, and typography are used across all channels going forward.

Scope of Services

The successful consultant shall complete the following Services:

? Discovery & Consultation
o Initial kickoff meeting with stakeholders to understand branding, vision, value, and design preferences
o Review of any existing branding or marketing materials
o Markets and industry research, as needed, to inform the design process

? Logo Design
o Development of three (3) to five (5) distinct logo concepts based on insights from the initial phase
o Presentation of initial concepts with rationale behind each design direction
o A minimum of two (2) revisions of the selected logo following concept review, working closely with key stakeholders
o Final logo delivered in multiple formats and variations, as needed

? Brand Guide
o Development of a comprehensive brand guide that includes logo design, color palette, typography, and imagery
o Ensure visual identity is consistent with brand strategy and values

All final logo designs and brand assets will become the property of the Port upon the successful completion of the Services.
