Overview

Summary

This project is a state and federally funded project utilizing SMART SCALE funding. The project will modify the median and extend the right turn lane from southbound Ballentine Boulevard to the I-264W on-ramp. The project includes associated signs, pavement markings, maintenance of traffic, erosion & sediment control, and drainage improvements. DBE Goal: 0%. UPC 115235, 0405-122-432, STP-5B03(435).

Background

All Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted no later than Friday, June 19, 2026 4:00 pm through the Questions portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/norfolk . Any RFI submitted after this date cannot be guaranteed a response by the City.

All contractors submitting responses must be a VDOT Prequalified Contractor to qualify and be eligible to be awarded the contract for this project. Submissions from non-qualified contractors will be rejected.
