Project description:
The project is located within Bothin Marsh along the Mill Valley–Sausalito Multi-Use Path between Almonte Boulevard and Shoreline Highway in Mill Valley, Marin County. This area is a sensitive tidal marsh habitat. The project involves the repair and maintenance of two existing wood-trestle bridges spanning branches of Coyote Creek along a heavily used multi-use pathway that serves commuters and school-aged children.
Work generally consists of the replacement of corroded steel hardware and fasteners, the installation of new additional steel hardware, replacement of decayed wood members, and replacement of the pressure treated lumber decking with untreated lumber. All work shall occur within the existing bridge footprints and adjacent paved pathway with limited access to the bridge structures. Public access to the path and bridges will be maintained in a controlled manner throughout the construction period at all times.
