V2526020BMission Vista High School Audio Video ProjectBids shall be received at the Vista Unified School District Office, located at 1234 Arcadia Ave Vista, CA 92084 and shallbe opened and publicly read aloud at the above state time and place. Responses must be sealed and clearly markedMission Vista High School Audio Video Project , BID NO. V2526020B. Facsimile or electronic copies of the bid willnot be accepted. Bids received after the above-specified time may be rejected.The Project includes Audio video upgrades at the Mission Vista High School theatre. There will be a mandatory Pre-BidConference at Mission Vista High School – 1306 Melrose Dr, Oceanside, CA 92057 on Monday, February 9, 2026, at9:00 a.m. for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. Check-in will bein front of the main office. Failure to attend this mandatory pre-bid conference may disqualify the non-attending bidderfrom the bid.Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice and all other documents comprising the contract documents. Allinterested parties may obtain additional information by contacting Mr. Kevin Lesko – kevinlesko@vistausd.org or byvisiting the District’s Purchasing Department Website: https://www.vistausd.org/departments/businessservices/fiscal-services/purchasingAll forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60)calendar days after the date set for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admittedSurety authorized to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District. A performance bond will also berequired.This Project is a public works project and is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. The Director of Industrial Relationshas determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for eachcraft or type of worker needed to execute the contract that will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which areavailable to the public on the internet at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/ or from the District Purchasing Department, uponrequest.The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, butare not limited to, the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the executionof the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors.Each Bidder submitting a bid must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Codesection 1725.5 (“DIR Registered Contractor”), unless an exception expressly provided in the Labor Code applies. Thisproject is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. If awarded the Contract, at all times duringperformance of the work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be DIR Registered Contractors and continue tocomply with all DIR requirements.Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in thefollowing classifications: C-10 – Electrical Contractor; or B – General Building Contractor License. No bid will beaccepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the California Business and Profession Code atthe time the bid is submitted.The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waiveany irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding process.1Publication Dates: 01/30/26 & 02/06/262
