Description: *** Please see related documents for full RFP document *** REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: TOWN-WIDE COMMERCIAL REASSESSMENT PROJECT FOR THE 2027-2028 ASSESSMENT ROLL ISSUED BY: THE TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK 2027-2028 DUE SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 The Town of Poughkeepsie is soliciting proposals from qualified appraisal firms to provide professional assessment support and valuation services as part of the Town-wide Commercial reassessment project to be completed for the 2027 Assessment Roll. The Town of Poughkeepsie consists of approximately 13,468 parcels which include: Residential properties, Commercial properties, Vacant Land, farms, Industrial parcels, Utilities, 1 Railroad, and Wholly Exempt parcels. The Town performed a Town-wide reassessment in 2023. The current Equalization rate is 85.6%. The Town is interested in hiring a professional appraisal firm to conduct a reassessment project including some data verification that the Assessor has not completed, valuation, field review with some support from our sta? if needed, public relations, and management of the project. The RFP is for Commercial Only Properties in Town of Poughkeepsie. Proposals must be submitted by Sept 30, 2026 at noon addressed to the: Town Clerk, Town Hall, 1 Overocker Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 Proposals shall be clearly identified on the outside of the envelope with the Name of the Project and the Company submitting the proposal. The Town of Poughkeepsie reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and will award to the respondent deemed the best to serve the needs of the Town and to waive any informalities or defects in such proposals before or after opening. In addition, the Town requests an option and separate quote, for maintaining values on a 3- or 4-year cycle in accordance with the NYS O?ce of Real Property Tax Services guidelines for “Cyclical Reassessments”.
