All proposals will be received in the Purchasing Agent's Office until3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2026There shall be no public proposal opening and proposals submitted will not be subject topublic inspection until a Contract is awarded. Proposals will be evaluated and Proposersmay be requested to provide a presentation of their proposed services.Work shall consist of:Option 1: Full-Service Operations, Maintenance, and Management of the City Waste Transfer Stationlocated at 755 Oronoque Road, Milford, Connecticut in a manner that maximizes the useful life andefficiency of the facility and its equipment;Option 2: Transportation and Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste and recyclables generated by Citycollection programs and the municipal transfer station to an approved recipient facility, ensuring all workcomplies with applicable local, state, and federal requirements; and/ orOption 3: Curbside/Municipal collection (Weekly and Bulky), providing weekly curbside collection ofmunicipal solid waste and recyclables, together with scheduled bulky waste collection in accordancewith City routes and service standard.Option 4: Providing collection services for condominium, homeowners’, and mobile home associationswithin the City of Milford (weekly MSW and bi-weekly recycling).Proposal packages may be obtained from the Purchasing Agent or downloaded fromhttps://www.milfordct.us/863/Current-BidsClick on “City Departments,” “Purchasing” then “Current Bids.”The Successful Proposer must file a 100% Performance Bond, a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, andCertificate of Insurance and policy endorsements within ten (10) days of notice of Contract award.The City of Milford reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof, to cancel this RFP at any time, orto waive defects or informalities in same, to seek clarification or additional information of any proposal, or to accept anyproposal deemed by the City to be in the best interests of the City of Milford.Fred BialkaPurchasing Agent
