Category: Construction Projects Status: Open Description: Project consists of the following: Purchase of filter mixed media and diffuser nozzles as specified, removal of existing WTP filter mixed media and diffuser nozzles within the four filter basins and replacement of each with newly purchased products, one filter basin at a time. The scope also includes disposal of removed items and all incidental work necessary for a complete and operational project in accordance with the plans and specifications.

No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bidprovides the following information: the name, license number, the date of the license's expiration,and the classification of the contractors applying to the bid for the prime contract and forelectrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contracts (if applicable to theproject), except when the bid is in an amount less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). Whenthe bid is less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), the name of the contractor only mayappear on the outside of the envelope containing the bid, and upon opening the envelope, if such bidis in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), the same shall automatically be disqualified.Prime contractor bidders who are to perform the electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and airconditioning (if applicable to the project) must be so designated upon the outside of the envelope.Failure of any bidder to comply therewith shall void such bid and the envelope containing such bidshall not be opened or considered. In the case of joint ventures bids, each party submitting the bidmust provide this information. All Bidders shall comply with the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976and as amended (TCA Title 62). All bidders shall comply with the Tennessee Contractor’ License lawSection 62-6-119 (Bid documents - Required disclosure by bidders) when submitting bids.All bidders shall adhere to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act enacted in 1964 which states that “Noperson in the United States shall, on grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded fromparticipation in, be denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program oractivity receiving federal financial assistance”, State of Tennessee funding, and/or funded by theCity of Spring Hill.All bids must be made out on the Bid Form bound in the contract documents, and the Bid Form shouldnot be detached from the contract documents. Bids will not be opened from Bidders who have notobtained the contract documents from the Engineer. With the bid, each Bidder must deposit security inthe amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, subject to the conditions stated in theInstructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundredpercent (100%) of the contract amount will be required for the successful Bidder. No Bidder maywithdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening.The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids regarding this contract, to waive irregularitiesand/or informalities in any bids, and to make an award in any manner, consistent with law, deemed inthe best interest of the City.
