SECTION 00100Invitation to BidSeparate sealed bids for construction of 9th Street Ne Water Main Replacement, (Office File1848.0) will be received by the City Clerk at the office of the City Clerk, Room 204, Civic Center,P.O. Box 5021, Great Falls, Montana 59403, #2 Park Drive, Great Falls, MT 59401, until 9:00a.m. local time on February 4, 2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud thereafter in theGibson Conference Room at the Great Falls Civic Center.The project consists of: approximately 1,500 lineal feet of 16-inch PVC water main replacement;approximately 437 lineal feet of 8-inch and 6-inch PVC water main replacement; remove andreplace 5 fire hydrants; 20 - ¾-inch water service connections; 453 Lineal Feet of ¾” Copper waterservice line; 12 Handicap Accessible Curb Ramps; and 3,300 Square Yards of 2” asphalt mill andoverlay.The contract documents consisting of Drawings and project Manual may be examined or obtainedat the office of City Engineer at the Great Falls Public Works Department at 1025 25th AvenueNE, Great Falls, MT 59404, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Required Deposit is$75.00 per set, which is not refundable. Contact the City Engineering Office at 406-771-1258 withany questions.There will be a Pre-Bid conference at the City Engineering Office Conference Room at 11:00a.m., on January 20, 2026. Interested CONTRACTORS are encouraged to attend.Bidder questions will be accepted until 5 p.m. local time on January 29, 2026 and must be providedin writing via e-mail to Matt Proud.CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR’S subcontractors doing work on this project willbe required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI).Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011,1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained bycalling 1-406-444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior tobidding on this project, but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement.All laborers and mechanics employed by the CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performanceof the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the City ofGreat Falls and the State of Montana. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees andapplicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex,national origin, or other class protected by state or federal law.Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bondpayable to City of Great Falls, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount ofthe bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and Labor andMaterials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contractamount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s)of that insurance shall be provided.
