Bid Title:	RFQ for Rear Load Refuse Truck

Description: The West Fargo Public Works Department, within the City of West Fargo, is requesting Quotes for (1) Rear Load Refuse Truck. Quotes will be received by the City of West Fargo Public Works Department for the purpose of evaluating costs. Sealed Quotes along with a Digital Copy on a flash drive, will be received by the West Fargo Public Works Dept at 810 12th Ave NW West Fargo ND 58078, for the purpose of evaluating costs and operating parameters on (1) Rear Load Refuse Truck. Upon completion of the evaluation by the selection committee, an order may be placed. Quotes will be received until 10:00 on February 13th, 2026. Ensure the quote is labeled using bold lettering, clearly specifying its purpose and identifying the intended recipient. General Specification: MODEL: Unit shall be a new current year model. WARRANTY: Shall be stated in writing on the form provided. DELIVERY: Vendor must perform a complete pre-delivery service prior to delivery of equipment. All units are F.O.B., West Fargo Public Works. MANUALS: One (1) complete service manual, digital or printed, One (1) complete parts manual, digital or printed, One (1) operator’s manual, One (1) training video (if available) TRAINING: Upon delivery to end-user, Vendor will provide instruction to operators on proper operation and daily maintenance. BIDDER: There shall be $500,000.00 minimum of product Liability coverage by the manufacturer and minimum of $500,000.00 liability coverage by the product installers to protect the City of West Fargo. Certification shall be provided with a quote. Requirements: Each bidder shall provide evidence of adherence to the specifications within this Request For Quote. Any items not specifically noted or specified in this Request For Quote that is required in order to supply the equipment requested, shall be considered incidental. Bidders shall provide lump sum pricing on the bid form. The bidder shall note any deviations from the specifications on the enclosed bid form. Each bidder shall provide a warranty period for the equipment provided on the enclosed bid form. The equipment shall be completely inspected and serviced by the bidder prior to delivery. The bidder shall be given an estimated date for delivery. Request for Quote

The West Fargo Public Works Department, within the City of West Fargo, is requesting

Quotes for (1) Rear Load Refuse Truck. Quotes will be received by the City of West Fargo

Public Works Department for the purpose of evaluating costs. Sealed Quotes along with a

CITY OF WEST FARGO RIGHTS

The City reserves the right to cancel this Request for Quote in writing or postpone the date

and time for submitting Quotes at any time prior to the proposal due date. The City, by this

Request For Quote, does not promise to accept the lowest cost or any other proposal and

specifically reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, to waive any formal Quote

requirements, to investigate the qualifications and experience of any Vendor, to reject any

provisions in any proposal, to modify Request For Quote contents, to obtain new quotes, to

negotiate the requested services and contract terms with any Vendor, or to proceed to do the

work otherwise.

The City hereby notifies all Vendors that it will affirmatively insure that regarding any contract

entered into, pursuant to this request, minority business enterprises will be afforded full

opportunity, and are encouraged to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will

not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in

consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all proposals that

GENERAL SPECIFICATION

There shall be $500,000.00 minimum of product Liability coverage by the manufacturer

City of West Fargo. Certification shall be provided with a quote.

Preference may be given to Vendor who has a local dealer with a

reasonable amount of parts inventory.

Requirements of this Request For Quote

GENERAL

Refuse Body to be 20 cubic yards.

Packer Body Capable of packing at least

1,000 pounds per cubic yard based on

average household waste.

Packer body shall meet all applicable

standards and regulations in effect at the

time of manufacture.

Refuse Body Shall meet OSHA regulations

with proper shielding, visible warning labels,

and a fire extinguisher.

CAB AND CHASSIS

The Chassis frame shall be conventional

chassis design.

Cab Color shall be white with a black frame.

Cab shall have both driver and passenger

seat air ride with Lumbar support or bench

seating.

Cab shall have air conditioning, heat and

defrost

Cab shall have electrically adjusted mirrors,

heated mirrors, and convex mirrors for

additional visibility.

Power Windows, Power Locks, AM/FM

Bluetooth radio.

Instrument Panel shall have full

instrumentation including hour meter,

transmission temperature, and air filter

restriction gauge.

Power supply, antenna, and ground shall be

provided for the installation of a two-way

radio.

A camera system shall be installed to

monitor rear of refuse unit. The monitor

shall be a color lCD type.

Frame shall have front and rear tow hooks.
