Scope of Services
The successful Bidder(s) shall be responsible for providing all variable frequency drives (VFDs) for use in systems across its facilities, along with associated installation, repair, and start-up services on an as-needed basis at the prices specified herein during the term of the agreement to be used on an as needed basis by the District. The performance of the successful Bidder(s) shall be in accordance with the terms of the specifications set forth herein. Failure to comply with these requirements may be cause for Bid rejection or award cancellation.
While the primary drive specification referenced herein is the ABB Series ACH 580, the District recognizes that equivalent variable frequency drives from other manufacturers may be required to meet specific operational, compatibility, or availability needs. The vendor must demonstrate the technical capability and authorization to supply, install, configure, and service variable frequency drives, including but not limited to ABB drives, in an educational facility environment in accordance with the specifications and performance standards outlined herein.
All VFDs supplied under this contract, regardless of manufacturer, shall meet or exceed the technical specifications described in this solicitation with respect to voltage rating, enclosure type, filtration, interface capability, and bypass configuration where applicable. The District retains the right to approve or reject any proposed equivalent drive prior to procurement or installation.
