Sealed Bids for the following project are sought:

2025 MFT Street Resurfacing

General Project Description: This project consists of furnishing all work necessary for the completion of milling and hot mix asphalt overlay, along with necessary incidentals, on various streets in the Town of Normal, Illinois. The proposed improvement consists of the following approximate quantities: 31,454 SY Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Removal; 21,500 pounds Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat); 3,793 SY Area Reflective Crack Control; 8,900 feet Longitudinal Joint Sealant; 1,145 tons Polymerized HMA Binder Course, IL-4.75, N50; 345 tons HMA Binder Course, IL-9.5FG, N50; 2,644 tons HMA Surface Course, Mix C, N50; 110 tons Aggregate Wedge Shoulders, Type B; 2,600 feet Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Removal and Replacement, Special; adjustment or replacement of 82 water and sewer structures; 7,500 feet Short-term Pavement Markings – Paint; 1,900 feet Short-term Pavement Markings – Tape; 7,500 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 6”; 180 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 12”; 180 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 24”; and all other necessary items and incidentals required to complete this project according to the plans and specifications.

Bids must be submitted to the Town Clerk in a sealed envelope clearly marked “ MFT Section 25-00000-00-GM –

2025 MFT Street Resurfacing ” at the following location before the following date and time:

BID DUE DATE: Tuesday, May 27, 2025
BID DUE TIME: 1:30 PM

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Bid Due Time in Office of the Town Clerk, 11 Uptown Circle, Normal, IL 61761

This is a prevailing-wage project.

Bid documents are available electronically from the Town of Normal website at
http://www.normalil.gov/bids.aspx .

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the One Uptown Conference Room, One Uptown Circle, 2 nd floor.
