INVITATION FOR BIDS

2025 Mechanical Renovations at City Hall Project

1. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Lockport, on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM. local time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read. The bid opening will be held at the City of Lockport City Hall, third floor, City Clerk’s Office, 222 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above.  Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.
2. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, 10:00 AM at the City of Lockport City Hall, 222 East 9 ^th Street, Lockport, Illinois  60441.  All Bidders are must attend and sign in at the meeting which will also be attended by the Owner, Architect and Engineer.
3. Anticipated Award of Contract date:  March 19, 2025
4. Anticipated Start of Construction:  August 1, 2025
5. Anticipated Substantial Completion date:  November 28, 2025
6. Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt bids and will be publicly opened at that time.
7. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cash in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid.  Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the City of Lockport.
8. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Lockport, City Clerk, 222 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441 and marked to indicate the following:

BID OPENING:  February 28, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.

1. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the City.
2. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works.  Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
3. Bidding documents are on file and may be obtained upon receipt of deposit in the amount of $100 for 1 set of the bidding documents consisting of 2 sets of plans, 2 Project Manuals, 1 Compact Disc containing PDF files of drawings and project manual, and 1 set of bid forms from:  Gill Reprographics, Inc. (GRI), 17W735 Butterfield Road, Suite A, Oak Brook Terrace, IL  60181, (630) 652-0800, www.gillrepro.com .  If only digital files of bidding documents are requested, a onetime non-refundable fee of $15.00 (payable to Gill Reprographics, Inc.) can be paid.  Login information to download digital files will be provided by Gill Reprographics, Inc.
