ANNOUNCEMENTCITY & COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCOSAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC WORKSREQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONSAs-Needed Geotechnical Engineering Services 2026Sourcing Event ID 11175San Francisco Public Works (“Public Works”), a department of the City and County of SanFrancisco (“City”), is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ” or “Solicitation”) to solicitproposals from qualified consultants and or joint venture (JV) firms (“Proposers”). Public Worksseeks professional services in Geotechnical Engineering, and other related consulting services,on an as-needed basis.Projects may include a wide range of City-owned facilities, such as civic buildings (officebuildings, libraries, cultural centers), public safety facilities (fire and police stations), recreationfacilities (recreation centers, clubhouses, pools), healthcare facilities (clinics and acute careinteriors), infrastructure projects (pump stations, transportation facilities, EV charging stations),homeless shelters, and correctional facilities.The LBE Subconsulting Participation Requirement for this Contract is 15%. Public Worksencourages responses from City & County of San Francisco certified Local Business Enterprises(LBEs). For any Contract Monitoring Division (CMD) requests, contact Ivan Oldenkamp atIvan.Oldenkamp@sfgov.org.The City anticipates award up to four (4) master agreements, each with a not-to-exceed(“NTE”) value of $3,000,000 over the five-year term. Public Works reserves the right, consistentwith City contracting requirements, to adjust the number of contracts.Since this is an “As-Needed” contract, award of a master agreement does not guarantee thatthe selected firms will perform all or any portion of the services described in this RFQ, nor doesit guarantee that the maximum amount will be expended. The maximum contract dollaramount does not represent a guaranteed revenue source for any of the selected firms.A pre-proposal conference will not be conducted for this project.1Questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted no later than 4:00 P.M. Pacific Time onWednesday, January 21, 2026 by email to the Contract Administrator, Don Sy at:ContractAdmin.Staff@sfdpw.org.Proposers shall log in and upload complete proposals into the SF City Partner Website,https://sfcitypartner.sfgov.org/ no later than 2:00:00 P.M. Pacific Time onWednesday, February 18, 2026. Consultants shall submit Proposals as specified and requiredin the RFQ. Late submittals will not be considered.Additional Information and Digital files of the RFQ Package may be downloaded at no costthrough the SF City Partner Website at https://sfcitypartner.sfgov.org/. Notices regardingAddenda and other RFQ changes will also be posted on SF City Partner Website.Consultants with billing classifications subject to prevailing wages on public works projects maynot be awarded a contract unless such Consultants are registered with the Department ofIndustrial Relations (DIR) at the time of award.
