208799 UW Tacoma Energy Upgrades Project Portfolio - Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Design-Build Services

The University of Washington (University or UW) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified design-build teams (which may include joint ventures) including a multi-disciplinary engineering firm as well as mechanical and electrical trade partners to design and construct the UW Tacoma Energy Upgrades Project Portfolio.

Project Description: Project scope includes the replacement of gas-powered equipment and some inefficient electrical machines with clean and efficient electric-powered equipment. The equipment targeted for replacement is located in three buildings across the UWT Campus. Two of these facilities serve neighboring buildings and close coordination with campus operations will be necessary. The project budget is $8 million. The target budget for all work to be provided under the design-build contract is $6 million.

Pre Submission Meeting: A representative from each design-build firm intending to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is strongly encouraged to attend and sign in at the pre-submission meeting, scheduled for May 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The meeting will begin at the Jefferson Street entrance of the Science Building, located at 1745 Jefferson Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98402.
