Separate sealed bids for construction of the above referenced project will be received by the Owner at their office, on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, no later than 2:00 PM local time at North Charleston City Hall, 2500 City Hall Lane, 3rd Floor, Procurement Department, North Charleston, SC 29406 then at said office to be publicly opened and read aloud.

SCOPE OF WORK

The work includes drainage improvements within City Council District 3 in the City of North Charleston. Construction of Northwoods Estates Pond Improvements includes the following work as part of the base bid:

• Base bid: 100 LF of new retaining wall, new storm drainage, and new aeration system located near Delhi Road

• Base bid: 142 LF of new storm drainage and new aeration system located on Glenford Road

• Base bid: 172 LF of new storm drainage and new aeration system located on Greenridge Road

• Base bid: 20 LF of new storm drainage located near the property corner of TMS#485-6-00-010, 485-07-00-128 & 485-07-00-129.

* Bid Alternate - Charleston Water Systems - Greenridge Road 24-in Offset

FEE

A. A non-refundable fee of $225.00 will be required on each hard copy set of Drawings or other contract documents requested.

B. There is no fee for digital documents.

BONDING REQUIREMENTS

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be furnished. Checks, regardless of form, will not be accepted.
