THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ), OR AN INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). NO CONTRACT OR PURCHASE ORDER WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. THE INTENT OF THIS MARKET RESEARCH EFFORT IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF VENDOR INTEREST, CAPABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS AND TO RECEIVE INDUSTRY FEEDBACK REGARDING THE ATTACHED DRAFT RFQ. THE RESULTING VENDOR RESPONSES WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SHAPE THE ACQUISITION STRATEGY IN DEVELOPING A COMPETITIVE REQUIREMENT. Projected solicitation procedure: This Sources Sought notice is in support of the Maintenance and Repair of a2018 International HX620 Transport Truck solicitation IAW the procedures at FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) . Set-aside parameters will be considered, based on responses to this Sources Sought notice.

Description:

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Procurement and Property Services Special Project Operations Center - Southwest Region intends to issue a solicitation for EN-7000 Repair Maintenance of a 2018 International HX620 Transport Truck. The contemplated work is for a company who is Certified in the repair of Cummins Tractor. The contemplated work may include:

Removal and replacement of the defective parts identified in diagnostic report. Vendor will purchase and install the new parts #6 injector kit, cylinder check for progressive damage replaces EGR Cooler head cylinder & gaskets and other miscellaneous items. All parts are to be placed with OEM part. On a 2018 International HX620 Transport Truck. The installation shall include all OEM parts, equipment, supplies. Labor and programming necessary to complete the installation and ensure the proper operation will be required.

The awarded contractor must be able to use the diagnostic report which was completed locally.

Place of Contract Performance: Six Rivers National Forest located in the Gasquet Ranger District.

Projected Period of Performance: Not to exceed 28 December 2024
