BID NOTICECITY OF WADSWORTHBrickyard Seville AccessSealed bids will be received by the Director of Public Service of the City of Wadsworth at City Hall, 120Maple Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 until one (1:00 p.m.) EST on June 30, 2026 at which time the bidswill be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all necessary labor, materials and equipmentto perform and complete the Brickyard Seville Access Project, Contract 2026-405, according to plansand specifications on file in the City Engineering Office, part of the office of the Director of PublicService, at City Hall, 120 Maple Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281, said plans and specifications being openfor public inspection.The work covered by the plans and specifications includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and the notedmaterial for summary of work. This improvement must attain Substantial Completion by September 30,2026. All bidders must be qualified by experience and properly equipped to complete the work specifiedin the time allotted.The engineer’s estimate for the proposed improvements: $1,100,000 for Base Bid; $25,000 forAlternate 1 and $65,000 for Alternate 2. Bidders are advised that a contract cannot be entered into ifthe bid amount is in excess of 20 percent of the engineer’s estimate pursuant to Ohio Revised Code153.12(A).The lowest and best bidder for this contract shall be the bidder whose bid is determined by the City tobe the lowest and best bid for the option and any alternatives selected by the City. The City shall havethe sole right to select the option and any alternative or combination of alternatives that best suits theneeds of the City. Bid tabs will be posted to the City’s website following the bid opening, no inquiries areto be directed to the City.Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Brickyard Seville Access, Contract2026-405” and addressed to and delivered to the Director of Public Service, City of Wadsworth, City Hall,120 Maple Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. Each bid must be submitted on the form provided by theCity in the bid book and must be fully completed and submitted intact. Each bid shall contain the entirebid book with all addendums. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting it.Additional requirements and conditions are described in the bid book.Contract Documents including bid book, plans, and specifications may be obtained by contacting AABlueprint – 2757 Gilchrist Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, (330) 794-8803, www.aaplanroom.com. Contractorsmust purchase the bid book at their own expense. The fee is non-refundable. Purchase of a bid bookfrom AA Blueprint is required to be considered for this project.Each bidder shall be required to file with its bid, the following:1. A bid guarantee in the form of either:a. A bond in substantially the form set forth in section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Codeissued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide saidsurety. Said bond shall be the full amount of the bid, orb. A certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of theOhio Revised Code. The amount of the certified check, cashier’s check or letter of creditshall equal 10% of the full amount of the bid and the Successful Bidder will be requiredto submit a bond in the form provided in section 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code inconjunction with the execution of the contract. Said bond shall be issued by a suretycompany or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.2. A Non-Collusion Affidavit3.
