Description: INVITATION TO BID/NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Project:  Westfield High School Athletic Field Renovations Owner: The City of Westfield 59 Court Street Westfield, MA  01085 Written proposals addressed to the City Purchasing Department, City Hall, 59 Court Street, Westfield, Massachusetts and endorsed “Westfield High School Athletic Field Renovations – Bid 25-031” will be received by the Purchasing Department in the Purchasing Office, Room 101 of City Hall, until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 20, 2025 and at that time publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the time of announced opening will not be accepted. All bidders are encouraged to view the site but no pre-bid meeting will be held. The work under this Contract generally includes the construction of 3 facilities; Replacing the girls natu-ral grass field with synthetic turf, a new running track with synthetic turf field, bleachers, utilities and grading for a future concessions/restroom building, field events, and replacing 1 of the 2 fields at Boardman Field with synthetic turf and associated site amenities as described herein. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be 100% of the Contract Amount. Miscellaneous: The Right is reserved to waive any informalities and/or reject any or all proposals or accept proposals deemed most satisfactory to the Owner if it is in the public interest to do so. No proposal may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the actual date of bid opening. Attention is called to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G, inclusive. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of General Laws, (3rd Ed.) Chapter 30, Section 39M, inclusive as amended.
