Summary

Purpose of Proposal: To purchase a systematic writing program to embed into our social studies program. Students will have access to quality materials, and will be taught strategies for document analysis, essay development, and defending a thesis statement. With the use of this program, students will effectively communicate their stance on a historical issue with their classmates through structured inquiry, which in turn will prepare them to write in the content area.
