Description: The City of Gainesville is requesting proposals for the Lakeside WTP Filter Expansion Project. The Project will consist of the construction of three new dual-bed two-cell gravity filters equipped with media and Leopold Type XA Underdrain Systems. Other contruction will include: New filter effluent, backwash, and rewash pipes installed in the filter building pipe gallery; New air scour piping to support new filters; Civil improvements associated with new wash water main serving new filters discharging into existing circular gravity thickener; New asphalt roadway to filters and retacking existing asphalt roadways; Improving exterior concrete stairs; Relocating HVAC condensing unit and refrigerant lines; Demolition of supply fans in the high service pump building and Ancillary electrical and instrumentation improvements.
