Description: The Town of Agawam is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Veterans Green Construction, in accord with the Project Manual and Drawings prepared by the office of Red Branch Landscape Construction 77 Meadow Street Holyoke, MA 01040, MA dated June 24, 2025.  The Contract is estimated to be $ 200,000. The project scope consists of: Construction of a Veterans Memorial Plaza at School St Park including pavers, lighting, landscaping, and flag poles. Plans and Specifications will be digital ONLY, and made available to Contractors starting DATE from the office of the Chief Procurement Officer via email at: For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. Sealed Bids shall be received from eligible bidders until 2:30 PM, July 10, 2025 at the office of the Chief Procurement Officer, within the 1000 Suffield Street Agawam, MA 01001 where said bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud within said office. Each general bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, cash, or a certified check or a treasurer’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company having offices in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  The proposal guarantee shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the Town of Agawam. A mandatoryPre Bid Conference for all contractors shall be held at 9:00AM on July 1, 2025 at the site, School Street Park 511 School Street Agawam, MA 01001. Please assemble in front of the band shell. Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract. Bidders’ selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder.   Attorney-in-fact who signs Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file with the each Bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney. The Town will award the contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder as set forth in section I.   The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities.
