If you do not have such a policy, let us know ifyou would like to receive a copy of the City of Bangor's policy as a reference.III. This response willbe in the form of an addendum, accessible on the City's website. Notifications will besent to the Registered Vendor List when new addenda are released. Late ProposalsIt is the responsibility of the Proposer(s) to see that their proposals have sufficient timeto be received by the Purchasing Department before the submittal deadline. Anyproposal, portion of a proposal, or requested proposal revision received at the CityPurchasing Department after the time and date specified, will be returned to theProposer unopened.VI. Withdrawal of ProposalsNo Proposer may withdraw their proposal for a period of ninety (90) days from the dateof opening. All proposals shall be subject to acceptance by the City during this period.To withdraw a proposal prior to the opening, the Proposer shall request the withdrawalin writing. All costs associated with the withdrawal (i.e. mailing fees) will be borne bythe Proposer.VII. RejectionThe City reserves the right to reject any proposals, waive any informalities or defectsin proposals, or accept a higher cost proposal if it is deemed to be in the best interestProposal No. P26-52Page 2 of 5Tank Farm Vac-Trailerof the City. The City also reserves the right to request clarification, of any details, fromthe successful Proposer.VIII. Information for ProposersA. All Federal and State taxes must be excluded from the proposal price. Uponrequest, a tax exemption certificate for the City of Bangor shall be furnished to thesuccessful Proposer.B. The Bid Form, included with this request must be completed and returned for aproposal to be considered.C. The vehicle must be thoroughly inspected, serviced, and ready for use upondelivery. All work performed must meet established industry standards of qualityto be acceptable. Any unacceptable work must be corrected before payment isissued.D. Any exception to the provisions in section X. Specifications must itemized on aseparate page titled “Exceptions,” referenced by section, subsection, and number,along with a detailed explanation of the exceptions.E. Page four (4) of this request must be completed and returned within the proposalto be considered.IX. AwardThe award will be based on one or more of the following:A. Quality and performance of the vehicle offered.B. Availability of vehicle.C. Prior history and experience with the Proposer and/or prior history and experiencewith the vehicle offered.
