REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
OPERATION OF BRIDGEWATER CARES
MICROTRANSIT SERVICEThe Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to operate the Bridgewater CARES Microtransit Service on behalf of BAT. The service is intended to provide door-to-door, on-demand shared ride services throughout Bridgewater and other select locations, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
In accordance with current FTA guidelines, BAT is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and/or firms to provide services described herein for the period commencing on or about October 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027, with two one-year options to extend the service.
The contractor will be required to operate the service in accordance with the service policies and standards of BAT as described in this RFP, provide qualified and trained drivers, adequate supervision and management, vehicles, and fleet and liability insurance. The Contractor’s responsibilities are more fully described in the solicitation package.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 2:00PM at the BAT Administrative Office, 155 Court Street, Brockton, MA 02302.
Proposals are due not later than 2:00PM, August 27, 2025 at BAT’s Administrative Office as noted above.
The contract resulting from this procurement will be subject to the availability of funds and the terms and conditions of the Grant Contract between BAT and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The service is financed in part by funds provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, and any contract entered into is subject to the provisions of applicable laws governing that grant. All resulting contracts will be subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice.
