Request for Proposals


Please take notice that, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq., and through a fair and open process, Burlington Township is soliciting proposals for professional engineering services. These services will include the evaluation of existing sludge operations and the preparation and delivery of plans and specifications for the implementation of mechanical dewatering at the Township’s Central Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located at 34 Central Avenue, Burlington, NJ 08016.
Any requests to obtain proposal forms should be made to the Assistant Engineer, Erika Reilley at 851 Old York Road, Burlington Township, NJ, 08016 during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or via email at ereilley@twp.burlington.nj.us .
Sealed proposals will be opened on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM by the Township Engineer at the Burlington Township Municipal Building, 851 Old York Road, Burlington Township, NJ 08016.  Proposals received after this time will not be accepted.  Proposals shall be labeled “Sanitary Sewer Biosolids RFP” marked on the outside.  Please submit only one copy of the proposal.

Respondents are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq. and P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C.17:27), Affirmative Action Requirements, (N.J.A.C. 52:25-24.2) Statement of Ownership, (N.J.S.A 52:32-44) New Jersey Business Registration and Disclosure of Investments in Iran (Public Law 2012, c.25).

The award of contracts for providing the above will be made at a Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Township Council, who reserve the right to waive formalities and accept or reject any part or all of the submitted proposals as they may determine to be in the best interest of the Township of Burlington.
