RFP No. 26/27-01MO, Waste, Recycling & Organic Services

Irvine Unified School District (District) requests qualified Contractors to submit their proposals for Waste, Recyling & Organic Services as outlined per the RFP (Request For Proposal) Documents, Specifications, Special Provisions, Rate and Service Schedules.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

District is currently advertising in the OC Register and accepting proposals until 10:00 am on December 9, 2025.

It is the responsibility of the Proposing Firm to ensure its proposal is delivered and received by the time and at the location designated.  Any proposals received after the scheduled closing date and time shall not be accepted.

Questions (RFI’s) regarding this RFP must be received in writing via email to Joe Chapin at JoeChapin@iusd.org by 10:00 am on November 18, 2025. Responses will be issued via email and/or website posting.

It is the Proposing Firm's responsibility to notify the District contact of its interest in this RFP and to monitor this site for any changes, updates, revisions, and/or uploaded documents.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. All materials submitted to the District in response to this RFP shall remain the property of the District. The District shall not be responsible for the costs of preparing any submittal in response to this RFP.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Irvine Unified School District of Orange County, California,

acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as “District,” will receive up to, but

not later than, the above-stated proposal deadline, sealed proposals at the place identified above for the

award of a contract for RFP No. 26/27-01MO, Waste, Recycling & Organic Services.

Project documents will be available on October 13, 2025 as a download at

https://iusd.org/about/departments/business-services/purchasing/current-bids-rfps. Proposers will be

responsible for reproducing all documents related to this RFP. It is each bidder’s sole responsibility

to ensure its RFP is timely delivered and received at the location designated as specified above. Any

RFPs received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of RFPs shall be

returned to the bidder unopened.

Any questions regarding proposal documents should be reduced to writing and e-mailed to Joe Chapin

at JoeChapin@iusd.org by 10:00 am on November 18, 2025.

Time is of the essence. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any

irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the bidding process. The award of the Contract, if

made by the District, will be by action of the Governing Board. No bidder may withdraw any proposal

for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of the proposals.
