Jackson County Schools E-rate RFP #260004052, C2 EquipmentQuestivity1. Can all WAPs and related parts be shipped directly to the school? Will a receiving bayand storage room be available?a. We prefer that all equipment be delivered to the Jackson County SchoolSystem’s technology office, located on the East Jackson High School campus at380 Blue Pride Dr., Commerce, GA 30529. We do have a storage area thatequipment can be stored in; however, we do not have a loading dock andtherefore request liftgate service for any large palleted deliveries.2. Will the school provide lifts/ladders for elevated WAP installations?a. The school system does have a sky lift, but its availability is limited. We will beable to determine availability once installation services are scheduled. We alsoask that vendors provide their own ladders.3. Will the cabling be pre-installed? If not, could you please share the estimated cablingmeasurements required?a. Cabling is preinstalled, and no cabling is requested for this bid.4. Will access to all rooms be available during the installation process?a. Depending on the time frame when installation is scheduled, we may need toschedule installation around school hours and/or summer school.5. Are the APs replacing existing units, or are these new deployments?a. The APs are replacing existing units.6. Do you require structured cabling to be run for each AP, or will existing cabling beused?a. Existing cabling will be used.7. Do you require patch cables for each AP? If so, please specify the type, length, andcolor needed on both the AP and switch sides.a. We do not require patch cables. We will reuse existing cabling.8. Could you share the model number of the switches that these APs will connect to?a. The APs are currently connecting to a mix of Meraki MS355 and MS250 48-portswitches.9. Do you have PoE-capable switches sufficient to power all radios on the CW9176I-RTG, CW9163E-MRor will power injectors be required?a. We do not require power injectors.10.How many SSIDs need to be configured at the site?a. None.11.Can the AP installations take place during regular business hours (8 AM – 5 PM,Mon–Fri), or must they be performed after hours?a. We ask that installation be scheduled around school hours (typically 8am - 5pm,Monday-Friday).12.Do any AP locations require a lift for installation?a. Yes.13.Would you like us to modify/update your Wi-Fi configurations within the MerakiDashboard network?a. We request that the new APs be enrolled in the Meraki network, and we receivea map showing the location of each new AP so that they can be named properlyin the14.Can you please share your Bid Evaluation Criteria with us?a. E-rate rules do not require a bid evaluation outlined in the RFP, but per E-raterules the most cost effective option will be chosen with the price of the eligiblegoods/services being the most heavily weighted evaluation factor.
