This project includes the removal of the existing tennis courts and the installation of 10 new permanent asphalt-concrete pickleball courts at Grupe Park. The scope includes the removal of the existing tennis court posts, the installation of a new high-galvanized chain-link fence, and modifications to the existing perimeter fence. Existing benches will be removed, and new benches will be installed. NOTICE INVITING BIDSThe City of Stockton, California, will receive sealed bids until Thursday, March 26, 2026, 2:00 p.m., for theGrupe Park Pickleball Courts in accordance with the plans and specifications for Project No. WP25033. Eachbid submitted for this project shall be on the official bid form obtained from the City of Stockton web site atwww.stocktonca.gov/pwbid, and must conform to the requirements of the official bid documents, including theplans and specifications. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by theBidder's Guaranty, Non-Collusion Declaration, and all of the required documents and information. Each biddershall be licensed in accordance with applicable State laws.All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business andProfessions Code of the State of California. The Contractor shall possess a valid license at the time the bid issubmitted and retain the license through the duration of the project. Failure to possess the specified licenseshall render the bid as non-responsive. The successful Contractor shall obtain a City of Stockton businesslicense prior to contract execution and retain the license through the duration of the project.Each sealed bid shall be marked "BID" and shall indicate the project name, number, and bid openingdate, and shall be mailed or delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 425 N. El Dorado Street,Stockton, California 95202, so that the bid is received by the City at or before the hour stated. Bids soreceived shall be publicly opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk. Bidders and the public areinvited to be present at the declaration of said bids. A bid received after the specified time shall not beaccepted and will be returned to the bidder.Bidders are hereby notified that the successful bidder and any subcontractor under them shall payprevailing wage rates in accordance with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations.A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as defined in the Stockton MunicipalCode; provided, however, that the City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to re-advertisefor bids or to provide for the work to be done by the City of Stockton.The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a FaithfulPerformance Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Said bonds shall befurnished by a company authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California.
