NOTICE TO BIDDERSPUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the City of Orange Townshipfor the 2026 ON-CALL EMERGENCY REPAIR WATER, SANITARY & STORM SEWER in theCity of Orange Township, Essex County, New Jersey.Bid forms, contracts and specifications are available by contacting Remington & Vernick Engineers.Contact shall be made by phone or by email to make bid purchase arrangements at 201-624-2137 or bysubmitting Christian.Romero@rve.com.Said Bids will be received, opened and read aloud in public at the City of Orange Township, 4th FloorCouncil Chambers, 29 North Day Street, Orange, New Jersey 07050 on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at10:00 a.m. prevailing time.Electronic download link for copies of the bid forms, contracts and specifications may be obtained fromsaid Remington and Vernick Engineers, by prospective bidders upon request, upon payment of the sum of$50.00 for each set. Should interested bidders not have the ability to receive electronic download sets, a setmay be arranged to be sent overnight by calling 201-624-2137.NO BIDS ARE TO BE PICKED UP AT THE ENGINEER’S OFFICE OR AT THEMUNICIPALITY OFFICES.PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO OBTAINING SAID SPECIFICATIONS.NO BIDS ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE ENGINEER’S OFFICE.The City of Orange Township reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receiptthereof and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waiveany informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the City ofOrange Township, in accordance with applicable law.Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington and Vernick Engineers, in the manner designatedtherein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name andaddress of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bidupon. Said bids shall be addressed to Marty Mayes, Director of Public Works, City of Orange Township,29 North Day Street, Orange, New Jersey 07050.Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond duly executed by the bidderas principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the City of Orange Township inan amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Anysuch bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bids shall also be accompanied by a certificateletter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond.The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work provided by theCity of Orange Township in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder willprovide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work has been provided bythe City of Orange Township in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing ofnecessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work.Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27(Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans withDisabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.).The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 and submit a DisclosureStatement listing stockholders with his bid.The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public WorksContractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act.The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof ofbusiness registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordancewith the act.Dwayne D.
