TheContract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or bidders – complying with theConditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner’s budget – whose combined contract TAP-9901(440) andTAP-9901(443) amount provides the lowest overall price.Copies of plans and specifications can be seen or purchased for a Non-Refundable fee on-line atwww.drexeltech.com in their eDistribution plan room, additional assistance is available atdistribution@drexeltech.com. Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of suchdocuments from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913-371-4430. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all relatedcharges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc. Anyquestions regarding the project, plans, specifications, or bid documents should be directed to OWN, Inc., at816-777-0400.A pre-bid conference will be held virtually at 10:30 AM on the 3rd day of December. All bidders areencouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourlyrate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and IndustrialRelations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.The City of Odessa hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered intopursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantagedindividuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not bediscriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin inconsideration for an award.All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of theMissouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnairemust be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHAconstruction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, tobe completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.The City of Odessa, Missouri reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any or allbids and to re-advertise and to rebid. All materials for the project shall be tax exempt.The DBE Goal for this project is 0%.
