OverviewPost InformationPosted At:Tue, Jul 22, 2025 10:32 AMSealed Bid Process:Yes (Bids Sealed / Pricing Sealed)Private Bid:NoSummaryThe purpose of this bid is maintenance and repair services of water-based fire suppression protection equipment at six (6) facilities/systems (Easterly, Southerly, Westerly, Environmental and Maintenance Service Center (EMSC), Administration Building (GJM)) and limited locations within the Collections System. The Contractor shall perform on-call, repair services for any devices, parts or panels of the wet suppression fire protection systems and chemical suppression.
All work under this contract shall be completed in accordance with the current Ohio Fire Code, applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines and recommendations, using properly calibrated instruments. All work under this contract shall be performed by properly licensed and trained technicians. Proof of each technician’s state license(s) shall be provided to the Sewer District prior to work being performed.
Prices must include parts, labor, delivery charges, permit fees, license fees, fuel surcharges, travel and any or all other costs related to performing the required scope of work. This includes any specialty equipment that may be necessary to reach difficult to access locations (e.g., sensors located under floor panels or detectors located 30 feet above walking surfaces). Anticipated or potential use of subcontractors must be disclosed on company letterhead as an attachment. Any equipment damaged during inspection, testing, maintenance, or repair shall be replaced with the same or equivalent equipment at the cost of the contractor. Annual testing and inspections of the fire suppression systems are handled under a different contract.
*Please Note: Only wet suppression and relevant components are covered under this contract. The Summary of the Sewer Districts Fire-Protection document provides a quick reference for all locations, all systems, including items which may not be covered under this contract (see Appendix A located under the ‘Attachment’ section).
The duration of this contract will be three years or until all expenditures are exhausted.

BackgroundThe Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (Sewer District) protects public health and the environment by leading effective wastewater and stormwater management. As the largest wastewater treatment provider in the State of Ohio, the Sewer District spans 380 square miles, serves 62 communities and one million residents, treats 90 billion gallons of wastewater a year, and manages more than 400 miles of streams.
In addition to its award-winning treatment plant and laboratory performance, the Sewer District's Project Clean Lake construction program will reduce annual Lake Erie pollution by 4 billion gallons by 2035, while its Regional Stormwater Management Program addresses widespread inter-community problems like flooding, pollution, and erosion.
