Notes	Notice of Intent to Enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract – Fire & EMS Station No. 13 FIRE & EMS STATION NO. 13 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK (CMAR) SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF WEST DES MOINES, IOWA NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENTER INTO A GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE CONTRACT West Des Moines, Iowa (City) will be publishing a request for statements of qualifications (RFQs) for Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR) services to provide Construction services for its new Fire & EMS Station No. 13 project in West Des Moines, Iowa. The new station will be located adjacent to the new Fire Training Tower at 1650 SE Maffitt Lake Road, West Des Moines, Iowa 50265. The City intends to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract with the selected CMaR during the preconstruction process. The CMaR will be engaged using a two-step solicitation process. A CMaR with sufficient qualifications based on the following selection criteria will be offered the opportunity to submit a proposal to serve as CMaR for the project: 1. Projects of similar size and scope (public or private) 2. Past Performance 3. Safety Record 4. Proposed Personnel 5. Proposed Methodology Electronically submitted Statements of Qualifications will be received by the City of West Des Moines City Clerk’s Office at wdm.ionwave.net until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 22, 2025, for the following described public improvement project: 0510-027-2024 Construction Manager at Risk Services for Fire & EMS Station No. 13 At the proposal stage, qualified respondents will be asked to submit their proposed fees for the project. The City will select the CMaR that submits the proposal that offers the best value based on the published selection criteria and on its ranking evaluation at the conclusion of the solicitation process. The Tentative Schedule of Events is Listed below: 1. Issuance of Request for Qualifications Tuesday 12/10/2024 2. Pre-Submittal Conference 10:00 AM, Council Chambers Friday 12/20/2024 3. Request for Clarifications By 2:00 PM Friday 01/10/2025 4. Response to Clarifications By 4:00 PM Thursday 01/16/2025 5. Statement of Qualifications Due By no later than 2:00 PM Wednesday 01/22/2025 • Electronically submitted Qualifications shall be submitted at wdm.ionwave.net and will be publicly opened, and names of firms read out loud at 2:00PM 6.
