Summary

The City is seeking Bids from authorized distributors of the specified Hewlett-Packard (HP) laptop and desktop computers, specified related accessories, and specified service plans as detailed in the Pricing Sheet provided. The deployment of the computers will be accomplished by City of Orlando professional and technical staff, in conjunction with the standard support processes provided to customers of the awarded Contractor. The City intends to perform a phased replacement of approximately 1,700 legacy HP devices with updated models that meet the exact specifications provided, including designated HP configuration IDs and SKUs. All proposed equipment must include manufacturer warranty coverage. Alternative products or configurations will not be considered under this solicitation.

The estimated duration of the replacement is approximately six (6) to eight (8) months from the time of award.

Background

The City has standardized to Hewlett-Packard (HP) devices and uses mobile and desktop computers, configured to the City's specifications, operating in a network environment. For purposes of this IFB, bidders should consider the replacement counts to be up to an estimated: seven hundred thirty (730) standard desktop computers, four (4) mini desktops, sixty-eight (68) workstation desktops, sixty-seven (67) executive laptops, one hundred seventeen (117) small screen laptops, six hundred ninety-one (691) standard laptops, and five hundred (500) docking stations. Additional computers may be purchased on an as-needed basis during the term of the Contract.
