TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR
Town of Middlebury
2026 Municipal Paving Project
Your attention is directed to the following changes in, additions to, or deletions from the Contract
Documents for the Town of Middlebury 2026 Municipal Paving Project. This complete
Addendum, including attachments, shall be included within the Contract Documents and shall
take precedence in the case of any discrepancies.
BIDDER must acknowledge receipt of all ADDENDA on the BID or may be considered non-
responsive. This Addendum consists of one (1) page.
1. Special Conditions: ADD Special Condition 14 – Rubber Tired Roller Equipment
“14. Rubber Tired Rolling Equipment – Contractor’s shall use a rubber-tired breakdown
roller, followed by a double steel drum on all shim courses of asphalt.”

The last page of questions and answers states that “the quantity of paving
aprons appears to have been high” However, the original bid scheduled
had listed 150 tons for this item while the addended bid schedule
increases that quantity to 225 tons. Could you clarify please?
Contractors shall use a rubber-tired breakdown roller, followed by a
double steel drum on all shim courses of asphalt. The quantity was
high however, when the south street scope was expanded the
quantity was adjusted
