Description: PRINTABLE RFP (PDF) TOWN OF BARRINGTON REQUEST FOR   QUALIFICATIONS/ PROPOSALS (RFP/ /RFQ) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (“IT”) CONSULTING SERVICES INTRODUCTION:  The Town of Barrington is seeking Proposals from qualified professionals to provide Investment Technology (“IT”) Consulting Services to support the Town’s technology needs.  The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from experienced professionals who can assist in developing and implementing reliable IT solutions to support the Town’s operations, enhance service delivery and promote efficient services that meet the needs of the Town of Barrington. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: Cover Letter: Include an introduction of the individual providing the services, including name, address, contact information, and relevant experience. Qualifications: Provide a detailed description of qualifications. Experience: Provide a description of relevant work experience, including examples of similar services provided to other Rhode Island Municipalities, if applicable. Approach to Services: Provide a description of how all services will be developed and delivered. Fee Structure: Detail all fees schedules, including hourly rates, indirect overhead rates, holidays, or flat fees for specific services, if applicable. References: Provide contact information from at least three (3) references, preferably Rhode Island Municipalities or clients whose similar services have been performed. SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected qualified professional will provide IT CONSULTING SERVICES including but not limited to: •       Provide oversight to the Town of Barrington’s  IT Infrastructure and suggest efficiency improvements. •       IT network maintenance. •       IT strategy, application and development. •       Cybersecurity management, programming, and enforcement. Provide IT Services for all Town Departments including the Town’s 24/7 Public Safety, which includes Police and Fire Departments. Implementing, managing, and maintaining all applications and systems. •       General troubleshooting, as needed. 3. EVALUATION AND SELECTION •       Professional selection will be chosen based on experience, qualifications and rates of pay, in the best interest for the Town of Barrington. •       Proven experience as an IT professional/consultant or similar role with at least 10- years’ experience in Information Technology Services. •       Knowledge of Municipal or IT School District Services, preferred. •       Knowledge of the Town of Barrington’s infrastructure, preferred. 4. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Submission Deadline:   All Proposals must be submitted to the Town of Barrington by 4:00 PM on Wednesday- January 29, 2025.  Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
