It is recommended that all components be reviewed as soon as possible to ensure Vendor maintains the ability to respond timely to all deadlines.General Information.The Wichita Falls Independent School District, (“WFISD”, "Owner") will receive Request for Qualifications responses and Competitive Sealed Proposals for:“Zundy Elementary School Refresh”
AND
"Zundy Elevator Modernization"
The Projects are also referred to as "Zundy Refresh" and "Zundy Elevator" in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents prepared by BYSParchitects ("Architect").Projects Descriptions and Scopes.
Zundy RefreshWFISD desires to complete a REFRESH project at the existing Zundy Campus to prepare it to open on schedule in August 2026. This project includes the following
components:
A. Limited demolition and removal of equipment;
B. Refresh of Painting, Ceilings. Lighting, etc. as indicated on Plans;
C. Various Miscellaneous Items included with Contract Documents.Zundy ElevatorWFISD desires to complete a ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION project at the existing Zundy Campus to prepare it to open on schedule in August 2026. This project includes the following
components:
A. Full Elevator modernizationEach Project is “turn-key." All permits, materials, labor, tools and equipment necessary to complete the Project must be included. See attached Project Manual for specifications of the contract documents.***********************************For a Vendor to be considered in the final evaluation, it must submit, as outlined herein, for BOTH STEP 1 AND STEP 2 of this bid process for the Project(s) it wishes to bid.STEP 1: QUALIFICATIONS (this electronic solicitation)Vendor must complete all sections required within this step.STEP 2: PRICE, Base and Alternate(s), as outlined in separate in Step 2, separately published.
Step 2 will be published on this electronic bidding platform upon final addendum of Step 1, no later than March 30, 2026.Failure of Proposer to submit both Step 1 and Step 2 prior to each Step deadline will result in disqualification of Vendor.This Request for Qualifications and Competitive Sealed Proposals (“CSP”) Step 1 and Step 2 to select Vendor(s) for the Project as provided by Chapter 2269, Subchapter D of the Texas Government Code. The CSP provides the information necessary to prepare and submit Competitive Sealed Proposals for consideration and ranking by the Owner . The Owner may select the Proposal that offers the “best value” for the District based on the published selection criteria and weight of criteria, and on its ranking evaluation.As indicated herein, factors other than price will be considered in making this determination. The Owner may first attempt to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked Proposer. The Owner may discuss with the Proposer options for a scope or time modification and any price change associated with the modification. If the board is unable to reach a contract with the highest ranked Proposer, the Owner may formally end negotiations with that Proposer and proceed to the next ranked Proposer in the order of the selection ranking until a contract is reached or all proposals are rejected.***********************************The Owner designates the following person, as its District representative with regard to this solicitation.
